After a rainy week, the sun was shining and so were the Indians.    Led by nearly flawless pitching and patient hitting, the Indians had their first win over the Mariners 10 to 0.   Fireballers Charlie Kent and Jake Linton combined on a brilliant no-hitter.

Charlie Kent showed full command of the strike zone as he struck out nine of the ten batters he faced in three innings of work.   The only Mariner batter to reach base was Josh Wright who was hit by a pitch in the first inning.    Jake Linton pitched the fourth and was nearly as dominant, striking out three batters.   The only Mariners to reach base off of Linton were Tian Ma and Lucas Switzer who were hit by pitches. Jake Linton was also strong with the bat, leading the game off with a line drive hit up the middle. Mariners pitcher Max Depeter Martin was able to escape the first inning unscathed after striking out the next two batters and causing a groundout to short.

The Indians offense exploded in the bottom of the second inning for five runs.   Patience and discipline at the plate were the key.   The Indians drew five walks (Cole Hunt, Cameron Marley, Brian Healy, Jake Linton, and Jack Molter), two batters hit by pitches (Colson Cotter and Charlie Kent) and a clutch hit by Joey Cerchio.   Cole Hunt, Colson Cotter, Cameron Marley, Joey Cerchio and Brian Healy all scored runs. Joey Cerchio, Brian Healy, Jake Linton, Jack Molter and Charlie Kent all had RBIs and Jesse Dullea showed good hustle.  Mariners pitcher Drake Baez shut down the Indian offense in the third, striking out three batters.

In the bottom of the fourth, patience was again a virtue for the Indians.   They drew six walks (Jake Linton, Jack Auen, Charlie Kent, Cole Hunt, Colson Cotter, and Cameron Marley) and two batters were hit by pitches (Brian Healy and Charlie King).  Brian Healy, Jake Linton, Jack Auen, Charlie Kent and Charlie King all scored runs.   Charlie Kent, Charlie King, Cole Hunt, Colson Cotter and Cameron Marley all had RBIs.

All around it was a great night of baseball! Good job to both teams.
