The Cardinals headed to Sturbridge for their first and only road trip of the season and returned back to Shrewsbury with a well-earned victory to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The Cardinals defense was terrific once again recording 9 put outs in the field; highlighted by a great catch in foul territory at 3rd base by Dillon Harrington. The catching trio of Ben Miller, Christian Prizio and Torin Narva anchored the team with tremendous play with "unlimited" steal rules in affect. The pitching combination of Des Nichols and Owen Michalowski kept their team in game for the first 2 innings; giving way to Christian Prizio who was spectacular over 3 full innings of work. Christian struck out 5 and allowed one hit! The Cardinals then went to Liam Lawlor who impressively closed it out with a scoreless 6th inning on only 12 pitches.

Offensively, the Cardinals were led by 2 home runs from Owen Michalowski, Torin Navra (2 hits including a monster triple), 3 hits from Guarini, 2 hits a piece off the hot bats of Sampath Katnalu and Shane Abramowitz, Liam Lawlor (on base 3x; single), a solid hit from Mandy Kelmer to drive home a key run and Anthony Santiago, Des Nichols, Ben Miller and Christian reaching base safely 2x.
Sturbridge played a great game and were led by solid pitching and timely hits from Gabe, Chase, Ben, Drew and Liam with 2 hits on the night.
