The Tigers and Red Sox faced off in a re-match-between the 1st and 2nd place teams in the AL.  The game did not disappoint, with the Tigers jumping out to an early lead, the Red Sox battling back before coming up short in the end.

The Red Sox went with starter Sid Srinivasan and the Tigers jumped out early with 2 runs with a singles from Ryan Iagallo and Dylan Fanale and a double by Sam Bachini.  The Tigers sent Ace Tyrrell to the hill and he was able to retire the side in order in the first .  End of 1st Inning:  Tigers 2, Red Sox 0

The Tigers had no answer for Sid in the second inning as they went down in order.  The Red Sox threatened with a lead-off double by Tristan Davidson and a single by Sean Desruisseaux but Tyrrell got out of the jam with 2 K’s.   End of 2nd Inning:  Tigers 2, Red Sox 0

The Tigers threatened in the third inning with a single by Tyrrell but he was erased on the bases with a nifty double play turned by the Red Sox.  The bottom half of the inning was more of the same with the Sox going down 1-2-3.    End of 3rd Inning:  Tigers 2, Red Sox 0

Luke Gallo lead off the 4th inning with a triple that put a dent in the left field fence.  Jake Brodeur followed with a walk and RBI hits by Colin Marques, Luke Willingham and Gillian Woodcome plated three runs.  The Sox erupted for 5 runs in the 4th highlighted by a Dylan Goral double, Davidson triple and singles by Ryan Walker and Srinivasan.  End of 4th Inning:  Tigers 5, Red Sox 5

The Sox called to the pen in the 5th for lefty Ryan Walker. The Tigers were able to get hits by Bachini, Carter Marques and Fanale to add 3 runs.  The Red Sox got 1 run back in the 5th on timely singles by Goral and Walker.  End of 5th Inning:  Tigers 8, Red Sox 6

The Tigers were not done yet in the 6th, recording 2 walks and 4 hits resulting in 5 runs.  The Sox continued to fight to the end, scoring 3 more runs on walks to Thomas Crowley and Jack St. Pierre, plus hits from Srinivasan, and Jake Pettepit.  Final Score:  Tigers 13, Red Sox 9
