In Once Human, players must choose between two servers, Manibus and Evolution's call, and this guide explains the difference between them.
1
The best memetics you can unlock are directly related to your character's progression, so we have put a list of the ones you need to unlock first to unlock more gear, tools, vehicles, weapons, and advanced construction.
8 Disassembly Bench
The First Thing You Need To Unlock
- Stage requirements: 1
- Meme points required: 1
- Energy Link required: 100
The Disassembly Bench can be obtained by unlocking the Disassembly Techniques memetic at level 1. This should be the first thing you need to unlock if you want to progress further in Once Human. Each time you go to loot, you'll find "scrap items," or "junk" that you can take back to your base and process into salvaged materials.
Several materials like Metallic Fiber and Refined Parts can only be obtained by using the Disassembly Bench, and you'll need them for intermediate and advanced crafting. So, we can say that this memetic is the key to everything in the game.
7 Bronze Crafting And Pickaxes
Will Set You On The Right Path To Tier Scaling
- Stage requirements: 2
- Meme points required: 3 each (6 total)
- Energy Link required: 200 each (400 total)
Unlocking Bronze Crafting will be your first step towards advancing Tiers. Bronze can be made with Tin and Copper, and to mine Tin you will need at least a Copper Pickaxe. Then you can go ahead and unlock the Bronze Pickaxe from the Stage 2 Infrastructure line.

Players who are trying to explore Holt Town in Once Human can find the locations of its Mystical, Weapon, and Armor Crates here.
Once you get your hands on a Bronze Pickaxe, you can go ahead and mine Iron, and from there, you can pretty much keep scaling and unlocking new tools as you see fit. Remember other players in your Hive can help you craft better tools and boost your Tier scaling speed.
You Need It For Jumping Tiers And Crafting Better Gear
- Stage requirements: 3
- Meme points required: 5
- Energy Link required: 700
The Gear Bench will allow you to craft up to Tier 2 weapons and armor, but to keep improving you will eventually need to unlock the Intermediate Gear Bench. This will let you craft up to Tier V Epic quality gear. You will need the Advanced Gear Bench for Legendary Gear though.
The Intermediate Gear Bench requires Vanadium Crystals to be crafted, which can be found in most level 20-25 zones. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for other ingredients such as scrap, Acid, Gunpowder, and Fireproof Plastic. Of course, to do that you'll need a Disassembly Bench and lots of Storage Space to keep your valuable materials safe.
5 Synthesis Bench
Craft Explosives And Staroid
- Stage requirements: 3
- Meme points required: 5
- Energy Link required: 700
Unlocking the Synthesis Bench will grant access to explosive (throwable) crafting, which you will need to beat the harshest (and most rewarding challenges in the game), and also allow you to synthesize Staroid, a key material you can use in advanced crafting and events.
Once you have unlocked the Synthesis Bench, make sure to farm lots of Acid and Gunpowder, as you will need them to craft most of the explosives available in this Bench. You can unlock more explosive recipes by investing in the Explosive Throwables memetic using 5 meme points and 700 Energy Link.
4 Solar Generator
Power Up Your Base, A Must-Have
- Stage requirements: 3
- Meme points required: 5
- Energy Link required: 700
Most of your intermediate and advanced base facilities will require energy to operate. From the Electric Smelter to the Containment Units, all of them need power to run smoothly. So, the first thing you need to do when you have meme points and Energy Link to spare is to invest in the Solar Generator memetic.
This will unlock Solar Panels, which can be built using 15 Steel Ingot, 8 Copper Ingot, 5 Glass, 4 Refined Parts, 4 Fireproof Plastic, 8 Electronic Parts, and 3 Fuses. You can get most of the materials by farming, but Fuses need to be crafted in the Supplies Bench using 5 Copper, 2 Glass, and 10 Metal Scrap. Once you have built your Solar Panels, connect them to your facilities by attaching wires to them from the building mode--a similar system to that of Fallout 4.
3 Garage And Modifications
Move Faster, Explore Further
- Stage requirements: 1 (garage), 2 (modifications)
- Meme points required: 2 (garage), 3 (modifications)
- Energy Link required: 100 (garage), 200 (modifications),
If you want to get to know every nook and cranny of Nalcott (Once Human map), you need to unlock the Garage to craft your first vehicle: The Street Motorcycle. To do that, you should unlock the Garage memetic using 2 meme points and 100 Energy Link. Building your Bike will allow you to explore faster, and of course, to gather resources more effectively.

After you build your first Bike, you will be wondering what to do next. Well, the next thing you should do is unlock its Modifications by spending 3 additional meme points and 200 Energy Link. Modifications allow you to improve your vehicles through the Garage Panel, and improve their handling, speed, fuel consumption, and capacity.
2 Dishes And Advanced Cooking
Better Food Offers Buffs And Lasts Longer
- Stage requirements: 2
- Meme points required: 3
- Energy Link required: 200
Cooking is an important part of Once Human since you need to keep steady levels of hydration and energy to make your character perform at its best. The basic food and water will keep you fed and hydrated but will provide no further benefits. The better the food and drink you consume, the more benefits you gain.
So it is important to unlock Dishes 2 and the Advanced Cooking station as soon as possible, so you can gain access to Blue and Purple food recipes, which grant considerable buffs like boosted HP, Stamina, Sanity Recovery, PSI power, and more. If you have the Chefosaurus Deviant in your base, cooking becomes easier.
1 Rocket Launchers
Because Some Bosses Need It, Plus: Raiding
- Stage requirements: 3
- Meme points required: 5
- Energy Link required: 700
Rocket Launchers are extremely useful in the mid-late game stages, as some bosses have a layer of protection similar to a shell, that can only be broken using explosives like grenades, or the Rocket Launcher, of course.
If you are playing in a PVP server you might be wondering how to raid other players: Rocket Launchers are your answer. These powerful weapons might be expensive at first, and their ammo is hard to craft, but the long-term rewards are worth investing in. You need an Intermediate Gear Bench to craft these beauties.
