Girls Softball Player Evaluations for 2019

Player evaluations for Girls Softball :

10U Minors (DOB 2008 & 2009) & 12U Majors (DOB 2006 & 2007)
will be held on Sun, Feb 10th, 2018 at the Bancroft School field house
(The field house for the Bancroft School is at 100 Shore Dr, Worcester, MA)

The evaluation time will run from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

Players should wear shoes appropriate for indoor turf and bring their own softball equipment.

This is for ALL players who registered for Minors & Majors and ALSO for those younger players who wish to be considered to play up in those divisions (i.e. 2010 DOB wishing to be considered for Minors and 2008 DOB wishing to be considered for Majors).
This process is solely to aid in the creation of balanced teams ; all registered players will be drafted on an age/skill appropriate team. In terms of play up requests, any 2010 DOB player who is not selected for a Minors team will be placed on an 8U Rookie team and any 2008 DOB player who is not selected for a Majors team will be placed on a 10U Minors team.

These evaluations are not intended for 6U Tee, 8U Rookie or 16U Seniors players.

Girls Softball (GSB) General Info & FAQ

6U Tee for girls born in 2012 & 2013

Spring FAQs:
Generally, 6U & 8U teams will have 1 weeknight practice and 1 Saturday game each week, as well as a couple of Sunday games for a total of 10 games.
For 10U, 12U, and 14/16u, teams will generally have 1 Saturday practice and 2 games per week, usually a weeknight game and a Sunday afternoon/evening game.
All practice & game schedules are subject to the weather, and rescheduling is common The season runs from April to June. Practices begin when the fields open in the spring, games usually start in late April and finish on Father's Day weekend. Championships for 10U, 12U and 14/16U are usually played on Father's Day.

Note to parents of players trying out for High School and Middle School teams:

Please register now even if your daughter is trying out for a school team in the spring.

It is possible to manage being on both a Little League team and a school team, as we try to avoid having too many schedule conflicts, especially on weekends. The seasons do not completely overlap, as the LL season will run a couple weeks beyond the end of the school season

If your daughter does make a school softball team and she decides not to play spring Little League, we will refund your registration fee once school teams are announced in early spring.

The important thing is to have everyone registered NOW who may potentially play in the spring so that we can PLAN the season/teams/rosters accordingly. Thanks for your cooperation!
