FALL BASEBALL

Attention Little Leaguers age 8-12!!  Shrewsbury Little League is now putting together teams for Fall Baseball!!  Players must have played in Shrewsbury Little League in the spring to be eligible to play.

The Fall Baseball program is a competitive league run through the Holden Little League organization.  There will be 2 divisions, Minors and Majors, and Shrewsbury is looking to enter up to 4 teams in each division.  Teams will likely practice one or two nights a week and games are held on Saturdays and Sundays in Holden, roughly a 20 minute drive from Shrewsbury.

If interested please e-mail the designated contact below for each division, understanding that this is a commitment to play this fall.  Please include your son's name and age in the email.  Once the teams have been determined you will be contacted regarding the cost as each team will be responsible for their own uniforms.

Deadline for registering is Wednesday August 2nd

Girls Fall Softball registration is open for Sept/Oct 2017 - deadline to register is 8/15/17
We will have teams for the following age groups:
10U Minors for girls born in 2007 & 2008
12U Majors for girls born in 2005 & 2006
16U Seniors for girls born in 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004
You will be registering your daughter for the age group that she will be playing in next spring, 2018.
For younger players in a given division, it's a great introduction to the rules for that age group but within a more relaxed fall schedule.
Generally, teams will have 1 weeknight practice and 1 Sunday afternoon game per week.

Shrewsbury Colonials AAU Baseball Program

Shrewsbury Colonials AAU Baseball Program

The Shrewsbury Colonials AAU baseball program had another successful season in 2017, with 2 of their 3 Super Division teams making the playoffs.  In 2018 we plan to play in the EBL (Eastern Baseball League).  Indoor practices (at Hit Quarters) will be scheduled once a week beginning early to mid-January and a “Hit-Fit” program at Peak Fitness will also be part of the off-season program.  There will be double headers each Saturday and/or Sunday between late March through June for a 25-30 game schedule.  This allows the boys to play in a highly competitive environment with little to no interference with town Little League.

The Colonials 2018 12U team plans to hold tryouts on Sunday, July 30th at 5:00pm at North Shore Field (in back of Parker Road Preschool).  Players will be evaluated for available roster spots and notified of results shortly thereafter.  Please see the attached registration and waiver forms for more information on the 12U team.

If you are interested in the 2018 14U team tryout, please contact Kevin Martin at mphco@verizon.net
